New HQ for Meetings & Functions
The Committee are pleased to announce that we have a secured a new HQ from which to hold our meetings & functions from the 2010/11 Season. The new venue is the Astwood Bank Club, Dark Lane, Astwood Bank, Redditch, B96 6AS.
We would like to thank the Committee & members of Astwood Bank Club for allowing us to use their function room for our Branch activities. Your hospitality is very much appreciated & we hope that our own members will consider becoming members of the Club in the future. The Club offers for sale, a fine selection of varied & distinctive ‘Guest Ales’ from time to time and we are sure that our members will feel at home in the comfortable surroundings of this well managed & traditional Club environment. If you would like to become a member of Astwood Bank Club, membership is very reasonable. Please ask for an application form from the Bar Staff.
We plan to re-introduce Branch Meetings this season, possibly on a bi-monthly basis to start off with and then if these prove successful, we may increase this to a monthly meeting at some point in the future. The Branch meetings will provide an ideal opportunity for members to get together and we plan to provide a mix of entertainment to follow the Branch Business Meeting, such as a guest speakers or a presentation of a football related topic.
The success of this venture depends solely on your support, so we would encourage all of our members to support our planned meetings & events. Members have free entry to Branch Meetings, while non-members can attend ‘Guest Speaker’ events at £3.00 each, subject to seating availability.
